Director Roland Emmerich Travels to "10,000 B.C."

"The Day After Tomorrow" director Roland Emmerich will direct the dramatic movie, "10,000 B.C.," for Columbia Pictures.
Emmerich will direct the prehistoric drama and wrote the script to "10,000 B.C." with composer Harald Kloser. John Orloff is currently at work on a rewrite. The film will focus on a primitive tribe and is said to follow three stages in the development of primitive man.
Emmerich and Michael Wimer will produce the film, with Kloser and Tom Karnowski serving as executive producers. Kloser will also score the film.
Filming is expected to begin in early 2006.
Emmerich last directed "The Day After Tomorrow" and has "Soul of the Age" and "King Tut" in various stages of production.
