Autodesk Reveals Exciting Plans for NAB 2016
At this years NAB 2016 show, Autodesk will be showcasing an incredible line up of customer presentations - featuring some of the latest groundbreaking creative in films, TV series and commercials from studios around the world.

What are you most excited to see at this year's NAB show?
ILM, Coffee and TV, Mainframe, CounterPunch Studios and Pixomondo Toronto, to name a few, are part of our great line up of customer presentations this year. Attendees will receive a behind-the-scenes look at some of the latest groundbreaking creative in films, TV series and commercials from studios around the world. We are also looking forward to showing off the latest and greatest versions of our software as some of our recent releases have been our best ever.
What products/services will your company be showcasing?
Throughout NAB 2016, we’ll be spotlighting the latest versions of our subscription-based 3D animation, visual effects, post and production management tools in booth SL-3316 from Flame to Maya, Shotgun and 3ds Max, along with innovative new creative workflows. What trends in technology do you envision for the world of broadcast and content creation in upcoming years?
We like to evaluate trends based on how they will alter the Future of Making Things. Individuals are pushing the boundaries of what is possible and impacting the way people will work in the future and that’s exciting to us.
What are you expecting to be "trending" or very popular at NAB 2016?
Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality and UHD and HDR.
What events are you most excited to attend at the show? Are you holding any special events at the show? If so, what are they?
Autodesk is hosting some cool events for our users this year at NAB. On Monday, April 18 from 5-6PM at the Autodesk Booth (#SL3316), we’re bringing the creative finishing community together for our LOGIK 2016 event, where we’ll recognize some of the year’s best artists with our Flame Awards ceremony. If you can’t make it to NAB, you can catch a live stream of the festivities on AREA. We’re also throwing a Mixer for Maya users on Tuesday, April 19 from 6-7:30PM at our booth. Please join!
How do you reinvent yourself each year at each NAB show?
We’re continually working internally and with customers to improve our products. This year, we’re really focused on empowering the creative: making sure our software is adaptable for users, integrating forward-thinking features, ensuring flexible payment options and more.
