What are you most excited to see at this year's NAB show?
The next generation of LTO-7 drives and libraries are now shipping. LTO-7 brings a massive increase in capacity per cartridge, which in turn delivers much improved storage capacity per dollar. We are excited to see the new products based on LTO-7.
What products/services will your company be showcasing?
A range of new LTO-7 archive systems and a new near-line disk archive, the DX-240, which retains content on network attached storage (NAS) and continuously backs up content to LTO-7 cartridges.
What trends in technology do you envision for the world of broadcast and content creation in upcoming years?
The desire for ever increasing video resolution and quality drives the need for better camera and display technologies and for higher and higher storage capacities.
What are you expecting to be "trending" or very popular at NAB 2016?
The move to high capacity LTO-7 should be very popular this year.
What events are you most excited to attend at the show?
The XenData team will be ‘tied to our booth’ and will not have much opportunity outside the South Lower Hall!
How do you reinvent yourself each year at each NAB show?
The whole industry uses NAB as the focal point for new announcements. We are no different - everything that we are showing this year is new.
